Miha Košak is an independent consultant, based in London, focusing on strategic and corporate advisory work for Boards and Shareholders in selected and diversified industries. Providing senior counsel on a number of economic, business, corporate governance and regulatory issues impacting their businesses and subsidiaries within the European Union and Emerging Europe geographical space.
He has over 25 years’ experience in international banking – ranging from corporate banking, investment banking, financial consulting, corporate finance, capital markets and wealth management; he has managed and participated in many important M&A transactions, privatizations and capital raisings in a number of sectors in the UK, EMEA, Russia and Asia. Since 1991, he has held senior director positions in many leading global financial institutions including Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Credit Suisse First Boston, UBS AG and UBS Investment Bank, Citigroup Global Markets and VTB Capital, based in London, Milan and Zurich.
Miha is currently special advisor to Emona Capital, a London based investment and advisory firm. He is a member of the Supervisory Council and EBRD Board representative at Šiauliu Bankas in Lithuania, a Supervisory Board member of Gorenje Group and a member of the Advisory Board of Fraport Slovenija. Miha is also a trustee of the British Slovene Society. He holds a BSc (Econ) from the London School of Economics, a Master’s Degree in the Economics of the European Community from the University of Exeter and an MBA from Bocconi University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (FCSI) in the UK, a holder of the Financial Times Non-Executive Director Diploma and is a dual national, Slovenian and British.
