Together with SPIRIT Slovenia, we invite you to join us at the Business Delegation to England from 24 to 27 March 2026. The delegation is aimed at innovative Slovenian companies, eager to explore collaboration, investment, and trade opportunities within the dynamic England economy. The delegation's focus is strategically aligned with the region's strengths, with particular focus on high-tech industries (Biotech, Medtech, Smart Farming), information and communications technology, manufacturing (aluminium, automotive), and logistics.

Participation in the delegation represents an excellent opportunity for companies that are interested in entering the UK market or expanding their existing presence. Through structured B2B meetings and direct engagement with British companies, chambers of commerce, and other stakeholders, participants will be well positioned to identify concrete business opportunities and build new partnerships.

As part of the delegation, we will head to London and Suffolk.

Suffolk offers significant opportunities from an international trade perspective due to its strategic location and strong infrastructure. Positioned on the east coast of England, it provides direct access to major European markets and global shipping routes through the Port of Felixstowe, the UK’s largest container port. This makes Suffolk a critical hub for import and export activities, particularly in sectors like logistics, manufacturing, and agri-food. The region’s well-developed transport links, skilled workforce, and growing investment in green energy and technology further enhance its attractiveness for businesses seeking efficient supply chain solutions and sustainable trade practices. For international companies, Suffolk represents a gateway to the UK market and a springboard for wider European trade.

Suffolk is home to several nationally significant assets, including:

  • The Port of Felixstowe: The UK’s busiest container port and a vital trade gateway with India
  • Freeport East: One of the UK’s new Freeports, offering strategic advantages for inward investment and cross-border trade
  • Adastral Park (BT Innovation Centre): A major tech hub driving research, connectivity, and future telecoms
  • TechEast: The regional tech cluster promoting digital innovation and international tech partnerships
  • University of Suffolk: An emerging centre for research, education, and global academic cooperation
  • Sizewell C: A nationally significant low-carbon energy project with international supply chain opportunities

The delegation will combine targeted company visits, structured B2B meetings, and attendance at the trade conference. A particular focus will be placed on innovation-led growth, digital technologies, and internationalisation, including a visit to the BT Innovation Centre at Adastral Park, one of the United Kingdom’s leading research and development hubs.
