Pristop
Pristop is the largest independent consultancy and communications group in Southeast Europe, with more than 35 years of experience. Our team of 250 brings together business consulting and communications expertise to help companies grow and manage change. We work with clients from strategy through to implementation, drawing on an understanding of their business and the people they need to reach.
- What does being part of the BSCC mean to Pristop, and what do you value most about our business community?
Being part of the BSCC connects us with people who look beyond the Slovenian market. What I value most is the quality and openness of the exchange. Members talk frankly about what they are seeing in their industries, and those conversations often lead to useful connections. For Pristop, it is a chance to understand international companies better, but also to contribute what we have learned through more than 30 years of working with businesses in this region.
- The role of communications and consulting agencies has changed significantly over the past decade. What do companies now expect from a partner like Pristop that they did not five or ten years ago?
Companies now expect us to understand much more than communication. They want us to know how their business works, recognise a problem early and say clearly what we think, even when the answer is uncomfortable. That has moved agencies much closer to management and business decisions. At Pristop, we are often involved before a communications brief even exists. Our job is to help define the real issue first, then decide what kind of response will make a difference.
- Your next Platforma Business conference focuses on logistics, from supply chains and infrastructure to digitalisation and resilience. Why is this topic relevant for our members, and what practical value can they expect from attending?
Logistics matters far beyond the transport sector. It affects operating costs and a company’s ability to serve its customers. Recent disruptions have shown how quickly it can become a management issue. The conference will bring different parts of the system together, allowing members to hear how others are responding and meet key decision-makers.
We are also pleased to offer complimentary tickets to BSCC members. Members who would like to attend are invited to register their interest by emailing jernej.smisl@pristop.si (by Wednesday, 23. 9.).
And one final "this or that" question...
Data or instinct when making a big business decision?
Data, although I would never make an important decision by looking at a spreadsheet alone. Good data helps me challenge assumptions and see whether an idea holds up. Instinct still plays a role when the information is incomplete, as it often is, but I prefer to know what the evidence says before I trust my judgement.
