Bloomberg Adria on the Chamber’s New Trade Platform and Opportunities in the UK Market

In an interview with Bloomberg Adria journalist Martin Tomažin, Barbara Uranjek Kozina, CEO of the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, presented the Chamber’s new export program, the UK Slovenia-Trade Platform, designed to support Slovenian exporters entering or expanding in the UK market.

The United Kingdom remains an important market for Slovenian exporters. It offers access to a large, developed, and innovation-driven business environment, while also giving companies an opportunity to diversify their export activities beyond their traditional markets.

To support companies in this process, the Chamber has developed a structured export program that guides Slovenian businesses through eight key steps of entering the UK market. The program combines practical materials, expert guidance, and support in understanding the UK business environment, from preparing an entry strategy to identifying relevant business contacts and partners.

As an accredited British Chamber, the Chamber is part of an international network of more than 50 accredited chambers in the United Kingdom and more than 70 British chambers worldwide. Through this network, it can help Slovenian companies access local knowledge, trusted business connections, and relevant partners in the UK.

The program addresses the key questions companies face when entering a new market: how to prepare, how to choose the right approach, how to adapt their offer to UK customers, where to find the right contacts, and how to avoid the most common mistakes in the first stages of market entry.
